My name is Matt Harkness and I'm a designer-maker from Calgary, Alberta. When I was younger I obsessively built things out of Lego. Having creative freedom and the ability to make anything I could dream of was something I fell in love with early on and is why I decided to pursue design as a career. I'm passionate about industrial design and material exploration while using digital technology. My studio work ranges from functional to conceptual and includes furniture, interior and architectural design, and even sculptural objects. To be perfectly honest I just like to be creative; be it creating new things or improving existing ones.
