Select a social media platform that you will work with for the next four weeks. EXPLORE ALL FOUR PLATFORMS HIGHLIGHTED IN CLASS:
CHOOSE YOUR PLATFORM:
CHOOSE YOUR HANDLE (username): Once you have selected your platform, you must create a username that will reflect you project or your art. It can simply be your name, it can be a title of the project that you are working on in your studio. Try to think of a handle that you may wish to use longer term. It may be something that you wish to pursue after this class has finished. As an example, Sunshine Frere’s art handle on tumblr is ‘artotate’ – http://artotate.tumblr.com/ this is her art handle for when she is writing about art. It is also her Instagram handle @artotate. She has used this handle since 2011. START POPULATING YOUR PLATFORM! FOR INSTAGRAM
For next week select one image from all your postings that you think is successful that you want to share with the class. It doesn’t necessarily have to be the post that got the most likes/hearts, it should be the post that you think really demonstrates what your work is about or what you are trying to do. Be prepared to share 3 reasons why you think it is successful. EMAIL YOUR CORE SKILLS TEACHER THE LINK TO YOUR INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT BY SUNDAY, JULY 10TH. FOR WEEBLY
