PART I: ARTIST BIO / STATEMENT
Write an artist statement and includes at least 3 key ideas/concepts that are found in your work. No longer than 200 words. OR Write a 100-150 word max biography. Figure out how to present your statement on your platform. PART II: PECHA KUCHA Create a 12 image Petcha Kutcha presentation. It can be about: -your work at Emily Carr (share what you have been doing at ECU) -your own personal project (share your process, research, ideas) -3 artists whose works inspire you (4 Slides per artist).
You must have all 12 images saved and ready for presentation next Wednesday. You can hand them to your teacher in 4 ways: •Hand your images in on a flash-drive •Put your images into a power-point presentation •You can make a presentation using google slides: https://www.google.ca/slides/about/ •You can email them to your teacher ***(if you pick this option, images must be sent by Monday July 25) PART I: CREATE A THUMBNAIL
We need a square thumbnail image of your work. Please send a square jpeg image of your work to your teacher by Monday July 18th. This image will be used as the 'link image' on this website that will connect this website with your chosen platform. Please make sure that the image is small, maximum 300 x 300 pixels. PART II: INTERVIEW Choose a creative person you know who runs their own practice/business. (They don't have to be an artist specifically, just creative in some way) Interview them: you must create three interview questions for your short interview. Present the interview on your platform. (instagram, weebly, tumblr or periscope) CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING:
Your interview must be completed and uploaded to your platform by 10am on Monday July 18th. Once it is up, please email a link or links to your teaching assistant so that they can review it. PART III: DOCUMENTATION Select an object; two or three dimensional, and document it in three distinct ways. This can be something that you are working on in your studio class, a work that you made in the past, a special object or something unique from your house. (Remember the different ways to document that were reviewed in class: straight on shots, installation views, detail views, and also video/time-based techniques) Present 3 distinct shots/videos on your platform. (instagram, weebly, periscope or tumblr) The idea is to get creative, but to also make sure to best represent the object. CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING:
Your 3 shots/videos must be completed and uploaded to your platform by 10am on Monday July 18th. Once it is up, please email a link or links to your teaching assistant so that they can review it. |
